Last night I saw the movie documentary Moneyball about a man named Billy Beane and a sport named moneyball (formerly known as baseball) I’ve heard quite a few of sports folk say they hate Billy Beane and I can’t figure out why. I got the impression he was pretty smart. He listened to this fat guy about how to change baseball to a ball about money and got the A’s a shitload of wins. And like, he didn’t even care about that! He was all like “so what?” ‘cause  he wants more. (He does all this while chewing seeds and tobacco). He really doesnt have much money and he was still all like “so what?” and threw a chair and then downed a bag of seeds. And get this: He looks just like Brad Pitt. You can’t hate someone for having a face like BP.  I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but there were a lot of moments in this film where I got goosebumps (Hint- those moments had something to do with seeds)

 Moneyball! I broke down and analyzed best I could what moneyball really is. The film tickles on the subject, but really it was mostly about seeds going in Billy’s mouth. So, moneyball: MO- NEYB- ALL.  Mo, of course, is short for “more”. NEYB, is an acronym for North East Yarn Barn. All, is all. “the whole of”.  More North East Yarn Barn, all. When you look at moneyball like that, it really just opens up a whole new barrel of questions.
